We would like to invite you to an event to look at how we can build on our successes and collectively strengthen our partnership arrangements to help improve the health and wellbeing of people living in Torbay. We will be running a number of these events throughout November which will be bringing together the voluntary and community sector, along with the Health & Social Care staff from the NHS and Torbay Council.
We also want to introduce our new Community Investment Fund, which is launching on Monday 4th November 2019.
The event will enable us to network with likeminded organisations and better understand the challenges that we face. We will also be looking at what we offer to communities and how we can work with you in partnership to provide innovative and creative projects that aim to prevent ill health, while improving the health and wellbeing of people who live in the Bay.
There will be up to £200,000 available to fund projects or ideas that:
- help to reduce the amount of unplanned admissions to hospital,
- enable people to be independent for longer in their homes,
- help people to regain the independence that may have been lost through a physical or mental illness,
- support and enable people leaving hospital to go home in a timely and appropriate way.
We are holding four events in November where we will be providing more detail and answer any questions you have about the fund. It would be great to see you there.
There will be two events taking place in Torquay and two in Paignton. There are 40 places available at each event, click on the date that best suits you to reserve your place:
