The Staying Put programme is a new volunteer initiative designed to offer voluntary support to over the 50's to help them feel more able to stay put in their own home.

There are several partner organisations in the  programme, each looking for volunteers with different skills.

The YES project in Brixham is looking for HANDYPEOPLE and GARDENERS to help people across the bay with small DIY and gardening tasks

Healthwatch Torbay is looking for volunteers with Social Care and Health Service knowledge to train to become HEALTH CARE NAVIGATORS,  helping improve access and signposting to health and care services across Torbay.

Ellacombe Community Cafe is looking for VOLUNTEERS WHO ENJOY COOKING AND SHARING SKILLS with others, helping with cooking, shopping, menu planning and kitchen organisation.

seAp are looking for volunteers to join their COMMUNITY ADVOCACY VOLUNTEER TEAM, supporting individuals to have their views heard in non judgemental way, on non statutory topics.

Age UK are offering training and support to each partner organisation, whilst also looking for WELLBEING  and BEFRIENDING  VOLUNTEERS to work with others and support those who are older and vulnerable .

Torbay Community Development Trust/Staying Put are looking for those who may offer NEIGHBOURLY SUPPORT within their community, helping with both small and larger tasks to keep their neighbours safely at home for longer.
