Join us in January 2020 to explore the Coast Path around Torquay
We are organising a series of short Coast Path walks starting in January 2020, aimed at people taking their first steps into being active and who would like to take part in gentle, social, guided activity in nature. These sessions are designed to introduce you to the beauty and variety of the South West Coast Path and help you plan future trips to the Coast Path.
We will be exploring the stretch of coastline around Torbay. Each session will be led by an experienced leader and each week we will be building up the distance gradually so that on the last session, we complete a full 5km. Each session will be followed by refreshments.
Each week we will be taking a different look at the Path such as its local history and wildlife.
Dates There will be an introductory session to the project at 10am on Thursday 16th January 2020 at Torre Abbey which will include an introduction to the project, refreshments, a special talk from the Head Gardener of Torre Abbey about the Agatha Christie’s Poison Garden at Torre Abbey and of course, a short seafront walk. After this, walks will be held every fortnight on Thursdays: 30th January 13th February 27th February 12th March 26th March
